Today an air-to-ground photo circulated around the internet showing a Piper PA-28 belonging to the Indonesian Aviation Academy (STPI) Curug came to rest outside the runway in the tall grass.
From the photo, it appears that the aircraft slewed off to the left while performing a landing on runway 30 at Budiarto airfield, near the touchdown zone market around 530 meters from the runway threshold, to the south east of the intersection with runway 04R/22L.
No further information on the occurrence is available except that the aircraft involved is PK-AEF. The aircraft appears relatively undamaged and it is unlikely that anyone was injured.
According to another source of information, this is the second runway excursion at the academy and airfield in the past 30 days.
